Throwback Thursday: Then & Now at GCID! 💦
From the old rotary drum fish screens to today's state-of-the-art flat plate fish screen, GCID has come a long way in protecting fish while delivering water to local agriculture!
Completed in 2000 at a cost of $76 million, GCID's 1,100-foot-long flat plate fish screen at the Main Pump Station is one of the largest in the world!
A remarkable piece of engineering that continues to protect Sacramento River fish and support agriculture in Glenn and Colusa Counties.
